Article 1 – Definition and Goals

The International Festival of Cinema Libre is an event organised by the French-German Association for Cinema Libre.

The festival is an occasion to show and increase people’s awareness of films that contrast with the spirit and methods of the hegemonic cinema industry (in terms of production, edition, writing, broadcasting and format). The festival takes a great interest in films that are not under copyright or have Creative Commons licences.

Article 2 – Place and Time

The Third edition of the festival is scheduled to be held in Hamburg, Germany from the 28th of August to the 30th of September 2015.

Article 4 – Films screened during the festival

Members of the French-German Association for Cinema Libre will decide the films, which will be screened during the International Festival Cinema Libre.

News

Hi,

Long time without news. It is the last minute for new year’s wishes, so we hope that you will make 2015 happy.

We especially meant to thank all the filmmakers who send their films for the second edition of the Festival in Hamburg last summer.

Overwhelmed at these days, we didn’t take the time to give news but we are still working with other collectives to set up a distribution platform of copyleft movies, collected through the festival or not.

There will be for sure a third edition for the festival scheduled the 28, 29 and 30 August 2015 in Hamburg. Another occasion to meet, to exchange, to watch great and emancipated movies.
Can’t wait.

See you very soon.

Cinema Libre team.
